As schools prepare for the implementation of the JA Ghana Company Program, students are beginning to engage in innovation-focused activities designed to strengthen entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
These activities form part of JA Ghana’s efforts to equip young people with the tools and mindset needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world where technology and innovation are increasingly shaping business and economic opportunities.
One example took place on 7 May 2026 at Alpha Beta Education Centres, where 32 students participated in an AI Prompt Engineering Workshop facilitated by our team. The session introduced students to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI), prompt engineering, and the role emerging technologies can play in entrepreneurship and business development.
Through interactive discussions, pair activities, and practical exercises, students explored how effective communication with AI tools can improve decision-making, idea generation, and problem-solving. They learned that the quality of instructions given to AI systems has a significant impact on the quality of the responses received.
A key highlight of the session was the introduction of the GRASP + Q framework, a practical structure designed to help students create stronger AI prompts:
Goal – What the AI should achieve
Role – The expertise or perspective the AI should take
Audience – Who the response is intended for
Situation – Important background or context
Product – The expected format of the response
+Q (Clarifying Questions) – Allowing the AI to ask questions before responding
Using this framework, students explored how AI can support real business and entrepreneurial activities, including market research, product design, marketing, and financial planning.
The workshop also encouraged responsible and ethical AI use by highlighting the importance of protecting sensitive information, avoiding misinformation, and thinking critically about AI-generated responses.
Throughout the session, students demonstrated creativity, curiosity, and strong engagement as they experimented with practical AI applications and business scenarios.
As JA Ghana continues to integrate innovation into entrepreneurship education, initiatives like this help equip young people with the digital and critical thinking skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
