On the 24th of March 2023, JA Ghana, in partnership with Prudential Life Insurance, marked Global Money Week with a Teen Talk session themed, “Building Financially Responsible Students: The Need for Financial Literacy Inclusion in Basic Education”. The event was graced by the Ablekuma West Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Christian Julius Aforlah, CEO of Prudential Life Insurance, Dr. Hazel Berrard Awuah as well as JA Ghana’s Executive Director, Mr. Abeiku Greene. Students from Dansoman 1 Basic School, Dansoman Community School, Tunga Islamic Basic School, and Dansoman 4 Basic School participated as panelists in the session as part of efforts to amplify the voices of the youth on economic issues.

Mr. Aforlah expressed his support for financial literacy amongst the youth and commended JA Ghana for their efforts in empowering children to be financially literate at an early age. He said,
