On 16th April 2025, the Achieve Team from JA Ghana as part of the Skills to Succeed Campaign to target junior high school students in the Greater Accra region, delivered a powerful session at Kaneshie Awudome 3 JHS and Martyrs of Uganda Catholic School.
The campaign was designed with one clear mission: to equip final-year students preparing for their Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E) with essential life skills. Skills that would not only help them pass their exams but also set them up for long-term success.
The focus areas; Confidence Building, Goal Setting and Achievement, and Understanding and Managing Bullying, were carefully chosen to ignite personal growth, future planning and resilience in every student we reached.
Key Highlights:
- Building Confidence:
Students took part in interactive exercises to understand the power of persistence and self-belief, including fun activities like cup flipping and writing with their non-dominant hand. - Goal Setting and Achievement: Through an animated video and guided discussions, students learned how planning ahead and setting clear goals can pave the way to success.
- Understanding and Managing Bullying: Participants explored the different forms of bullying and practical strategies to stay safe and support others.
Throughout the day, students showed incredible enthusiasm, actively participating, sharing their thoughts, and reflecting deeply on their personal growth.

By the end of the campaign, students were better equipped to face their upcoming exams and life challenges with confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of purpose.
At JA Ghana, we believe every young person deserves the skills to succeed, and we’re proud to keep making that vision a reality with our partner Kings Trust International (KTI).
