Program Assistant (National Service)
Achieve Program

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES 

The Service Person will provide administrative and operational support to the Achieve Programme Lead in the implementation of the program in Ghana. Specifically, the Service person will;

  • Assist with program implementation and support monitoring and evaluation activities
  • Conduct regular supervisory and monitoring visits to ensure program progress and achievement of program beneficiaries and provide feedback for improved changes.
  • Support school entry and initial sensitization meetings in target schools.
  • Liaise with and develop excellent relationships with teachers and coordinators to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Support with program report writing.
  • Provide logistical support on project activities including school visits, training, review meetings, program launch and closure events, etc.
  • Assist with planning of special events (workshops, launch events) as requested.
  • Serve as the source of information for internal and external purposes. Be prepared to report and respond to requests/ questions regarding field operations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for program beneficiaries.
  • Assist with data entry of program beneficiaries and other stakeholders in the JA database.

QUALIFICATION

  • Successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Economics, Program Management, Education, or other relevant fields in Social Science at a Ghanaian University and qualified for National Service.
  • Academic or professional training or experience in program monitoring and evaluation is preferred but not compulsory.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant internship experience is also preferred.

SKILLS

  • High level of attention to detail and organized.
  • Strong interest in social entrepreneurship and youth economic empowerment.
  • Strong computer literacy (must be proficient with MS Office).

The Service Person will provide administrative and operational support to the Grow with Google Programme Lead in the implementation of the program in Ghana. Specifically, the Service person will;

  • Assist in managing and coordinating the Grow with Google program activities.
  • Conduct data analysis and generate reports to track program performance and outcomes.
  • Support stakeholder engagement efforts, including communication and relationship management.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating program events, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with the project lead to develop and implement program strategies.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, maintaining project documentation, and managing program resources.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for program beneficiaries
  • Assist with data entry of program beneficiaries and other stakeholders in the JA database.

QUALIFICATION

  • Successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree at a Ghanaian University and qualified for National Service.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant internship experience is also preferred.
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace.

OVERVIEW

 

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Administration Officer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure strict adherence to Internal Control Procedures, ensuring sound and reliable financial administration processes within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles and excellent attention to detail.

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES  

 

  • Enforce and ensure strict adherence to Internal Control Procedures to maintain the integrity of financial administration processes.
  • Complete petty cash entries accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update the Asset Register, including recording and tracking assets.
  • Manage all inventory for the organization, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Maintain a high level of flexibility and willingness to take on additional duties and responsibilities as required.

 

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

 

  • Successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or any related course and qualified for National Service.
  • Strong knowledge of internal control procedures and financial principles.

Program Assistant
Cha-Ching Program

OVERVIEW

The Program Assistant will be responsible for assisting JA Ghana in the implementation of its Cha-Ching Program efforts. The Cha-Ching Program is a hands-on, student-centered financial literacy program targeting basic school students. The Program runs for six-weeks in selected schools across the country with the aim of improving access to information and activities that support the growing and critical need for financial literacy among young people in Ghana and across the continent.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES  

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Assist with Cha-Ching Program implementation for JA Ghana and support program monitoring.
  • Conduct regular supervisory and monitoring visits to ensure program progress and achievement of program beneficiaries and provide feedback for improved changes.
  • Coordinate with vendors and ensure targets and deliverables are met for the program.
  • Work directly with Program Manager to develop interesting incentive campaigns to boost visibility of the program.
  • Assists in development of data capture forms, data entry and analysis.
  • Assist in organization and coordination during the program.
  • Follow up with school coordinators and managing other aspects of the program; information management.
  • Assist with the implementation of other JA programs as assigned.

QUALIFICATION

  • Self-motivated, dependable, responsible, honest, and able to work independently.
  • Passionate and inspired to support JA’s mission.
  • Professional or educational experience in events planning, communications, or nonprofit work.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and excellent writing skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, database programs, the internet, electronic and social media ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
