Cha–Ching Program

Cha-Ching is a financial literacy program about six band members whose thrilling adventures teach them about key money concepts – Earn, Save, Spend, and Donate. It is delivered to primary school students and aims to provide students with knowledge on personal finance and its applications, expose students to the smart money concepts of earn, save, spend, and donate, and also provide students with a solid foundation for financial independence. In addition to the Cha-Ching Program is the Cha-Ching Money Show which airs every Saturday at 9:30 am on Ghanaian TV Channel GNTV Junior.

Cha-Ching has 6 episodes of one-hour lessons designed to be delivered once a week. As a teacher-led session, each of the six lessons is structured as follows;

  •   20-minute facilitation and class discussions
  •   20-minute group activities
  •   10-minute lesson recap
  •   Take-home activity for further discussion with parents/ guardians

At the end of the lessons, the Cha-Ching Money Bee Quiz is organized between participating schools to culminate the 6 weeks of hands-on, student-centered Cha-Ching sessions.
